I stand upon ‘A Road Not Taken’

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,

Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Life is all about making choices. To me this poem sort of a life guidance. It's not about making the RIGHT CHOICE but just about making a CHOICE. In life we always come to a “fork” where we have to decide which road is best for us. One is well-traveled road to mediocrity, the other the road is to our inevitable dream. Life is full of forks and divisions, it is not possible that one can choose one way and decide to turn back for the other “way leads onto way,” so even though we made a decision to travel one road, and life does not stop for us to retrace steps and try the other road. The particular choice we made, however, has made “all the difference,” and that proves that our contemplation has proven dramatic in life.

I sometimes have the urge to head back and travel down the other road instead just to experience what may happen. To travel every diversion in a road would take more than a lifetime to accomplish, and as long as one is still alive, there will forever be diversions in the roads we take. Today I'm standing on a forked road again don't know which way to go. I stand looking deeply into the mystic and thick woods in front of me. I am alone. I am aware. This is it. This is where I create a new road. I am not scared, but I know it would be easier to take a road that already exists. But, deep down I know I  am capable of making right choice. My life, My dreams, My actions, My decisions have made me who I am.

Hope the one less traveled will make all the difference!!!!!
